front suspension
« on: July 18, 2013, 09:17:29 PM »
Hi there. I,m doing an oil change on the forks , replacing top bushes and seal kit. on pulling the forks down with oem springs and spacers taken out the original oil level was 45mm. I thought it would have been 63mm as per manual specs. This is the bikes first fork oil change. also can the springs have a couple of spacers put in just to stiffen them up a tad.? bike has done 95000ks ,had it since new. 2004 model         thanks for any input  Regards Brian

Hi Brian, better to fit some new springs from someone like Ikon just up the road in Albury. I use 10wt oil in mine for a little firmer dampening (Standard is 7.5wt).
