I copied this over from the FarRider site
After buying an ST1300A which was located in Mandurah WA I needed to get it back home again. Flew over to Perth on Tuesday and picked the bike up Wednesday morning. It was also a chance to attempt a list ride even though I wasn't sure of completing a successful three day ride I knew I could get at least a one day 1000km plus ride on at least one of those days. The end result is that I succeeded in doing a multi-day ride. I've used WA times taken from the bike's clock for the complete ride.

The plan was to ride from Mandurah to Balladonia Roadhouse via Pingelly and hook up with The Great Eastern Hwy at Kellerberrin with an overnight stop at Norseman and hopefully arrive at Balladonia before 10:12 am Thursday.
All was well until the phone battery started to die a little early than expected and I was without GPS for the rest of the way to highway.
This where the route changed a little as I made a right turn and had to back track about 10km and I made it into the first waypoint of Pingelly.

an onto Merredin to fuel up the bike and pick up the Hwy East towards home. Another fuel stop at Coolgardie and onto Norseman for an overnight at the BP Eyre motel.
In the morning I fuelled up at the Caltex and made tracks for Balladonia about 190km East.

A simple plan to ride from Balladonia to Border Village for an overnight stop and then onto the old Yalata Roadhouse. The roadhouse might be dead but it's still a small community with an active police presence for the highway and the aboriginal community a few km north. Nothing could go wrong but it did but the bonus was that I had a few hours to play with.
Next fuel stop was Caiguna and then Eucla and upon arriving at Border Village all the accommodation was booked so it was onto Nullarbor Roadhouse for the night and I had a 190km head start for the morning finish.

Originally planned as ride from Border Village to home in Peterborough but now from Nullarbor.
A quick stop at Nundroo and then Penong for Fuel. I made Ceduna at around lunch time local time and had an hour's break here. Took a few photos and walked about half the length of the jetty.

and onto Port Augusta to fuel me up. Hungry Jacks at the new On The Run and then on towards home which for us is often the worst for meeting skippy and friends.
A little different this night as I only saw two living roos about 15km before Orroroo. These were the only two I saw since the start of the trip. It was also the coldest part of the trip with temps down 2C.
Eventually arrived back in Peterborough as I kept the speed down to about 75 kph for the last 25km.
