Not much interest shown (as yet), but thanks to those that have.  Might pick up some momentum over the next four or five months, but it would be good for VIC members, and others, to show some interest, indicate a preference in the meantime.

Here's hoping ....

For me, there is still too much happening in the background, so I can`t commit to any ride at this stage. Having said that, I am always happy to go with the flow. Still have my Mudgee booking, so that`s a definite maybe. Bike had a Major service early March, And I think we both, will enjoy a bit of " Blowing out the cobwebs " so to speak.
At this stage its a wait and see approach.
But its looking good, and I love hanging out with crazy people............... FFS,,,,,,Bring It On/////////////// :eek

100 Days to Go

Now that I have your attention, with only 100 days to go it's time to get our heads around this event.  Here's a summary of what I have in mind:

  *  Date:  Saturday 17 October, 2020.

  *  Dates: Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October, 2020 - for those that want to replicate the NatRally dates.

  *  Location: Lakes Entrance

  *  Venue: Woodbine Tourist Park (To be confirmed) - Cabins, Caravan sites, Tent sites, good facilities (camp kitchen, showers and toilets), over road from Bowls Club, near shopping centre, and cafes & restaurants.

     https://woodbinetouristpark.com.au/

  *  Itinerary (along the usual lines of a NatRally):

      #  Friday night:  Meet 'n' greet, BBQ, beers, and BS

      #  Saturday:  Breakfast

                           Ride to mystery lunch venue

Evening meal at Bowls Club, awards presentation, beers and more BS

                           Group photo opportunity

      #  Sunday:     Breakfast

                            Ride home

If you are interested in attending, post a response, send me a message, advise of dates you'll be attending, and I'll add you name to the attendance list.

When the tentative group booking has been accepted, I'll post and update and people can then make their own booking and payment arrangements.

Attending:
  • Helen & Michael - Friday 16 to Sunday 17

Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)

If I get enough interest (more than two), long sleeve T-shirts, something like this will be around $26.00.

Shucks, I could even be tempted to order some for interstaters.

When do we leave?

Thanks Nigel, I'll take that as you are interested in attending.  Please confirm number of nights.

At this stage Sue and I are interested...most likely Friday to Sunday... :thumbs

Thanks Russell.

Attending:
  • Helen & Michael - Friday to Sunday
  • Nigel - days to be confirmed
  • Sue & Russell - Friday to Sunday

Re. long sleeve T-shirts, I'm looking at various design options (to tailor the T to our event, if possible) and suppliers (to get a keener price).  When I know more, and if this is a definite goer, I'll start a new T-shirt specific thread.

In the meantime, interest can be posted here, but be patient with me when I ask (in the new thread) to confirm any previous responses.

Even if they have a 14 day quarantine on entering the state, I'd be tempted to get one.

3XL probably.

This looks like it`s fast becoming an Ozstoc splinter group. With Captain Michael of Kamikaze at the wheel. Seems your loyal followers are jumping on board and deserting their former flocks. ( try saying that under the influence )
Good to see, bring it on, all, will always be welcome, in the Lockdown state.  :grin Gotta go, I`m on the night shift, in the Guard Tower.

If I get enough orders for T-shirts or Polos, they'll be available for all, attendance to the VIC Not-the-NatRally is not compulsory.

You (anyone) will be welcome to VIC, just not sure if you will be welcome back to your home state.
