She gets a bike 10 years younger and 200cc bigger. :eek
Cause enough for you to get the ST1300. Just tell her it's important that they match when you're out riding together.

10yrs younger and 200cc bigger and in my eyes i still have the better bike.
I have told her that the Yamie cant sleep in the garage with the ST .

I actually rode the 800cc Boulevarde (CL50) one day and genuinely thought that, after I let
out the clutch, that it had a handbrake. True. The engine really would not pull the skin of a
rice custard. Comfy up to 80pkh and then it was ridiculous having to try to hold on whilst the
wind had other ideas.
Tell her in my 44 years of riding and owning 30 motorcycles, the CL50 Boulevarde has the award for being
the most disappointing bike that I have ever ridden.
I settled for a Yamaha MT-01, and um oh yeah! Loved it but still sold it in the end.
Kmart sell decent vacuum cleaners these days for under $100.
What I don't understand about the little emotivs (?) that you can choose from to include in your post,
is that most are bald but when the one comes up for 'angry old man', he has hair. WTF?
Honey...is that coffee ready or what ??
cheers

Had one of these once, when my then wife and I pooled resources to buy a new bike, rather than getting two (new to us) secondhand bikes.
Had to be cruiser style due to height differences between us, but never found it that good a bike. Sold it a few years later after a rebuild, lost money on that when selling, to buy a second car which was much more exciting to drive.

Wow! A car more exciting than a bike! That sure damns the bike in question!

Finally , its parked up or in the garage . After taking the bike for a quicky this morning in all honesty she could not have chosen a better bike for herself. Cant wait to do some rides again with my bestest ever friend . :dred11 :thumb

Congrats on the new friend for the ST :thumbsup
Thanks Shiney , in all honesty after riding the xsv she couldnt have picked up a better bike for herself .
The cruiser configuration does nothing for me and find them uncomfortable and awkward to ride as i have always had tourers and sports bikes.
This bike in saying that would suit a less experienced rider , being easy to get on and off , low centre of gravity ,plenty of torque with bling ,,,, an ideal girls bike .
She loves it and is excepting of her lack of experience and wants to slowly bring herself under supervision up to speed on Tassie roads so we can venture over to the big island and do some riding with as many of you guys as possible . Exciting times for the Kents.

As manly as we all think we are Shillas , a strategic withdrawal is always a good ploy when doing negotiations with your wife i have found .
She really does loose her shit and me , the children , dog , cats , horses , sheep and guinnea pigs often get advise from her :spank

Envy... I struggle to get wifey on the back of mine. Her birthday is coming up so I'm thinking of some m/c lessons for her.
She wants me to go on a cruise, but I'm reluctant. Not quite a trade war but complex trade negotiations nonetheless.

Tough scenario. If she's unhappy on the bike there's no point in forcing the issue. If she's anxious about m/c safety then being able to ride herself wouldn't make much difference.
You'd probably enjoy a cruise, but the novelty soon wears off.
