Title: New Rear Tyre
Post by: Assassin on September 16, 2017, 07:35:09 PM
Just fitted a new rear Continental Road Attack 2 this arvo ! I'm very thankful to be able to do this myself... anyone used this tyre before ?

I'm thankful to get rid of the Metzeler that caused all the vibrations for the last(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170916/e13da8eb9b142114255b9fca24ff6ea8.jpg) couple of years...

Balancing the wheel I was hearing this light clunking noise... thinking it was wheel bearings I decided to investigate... I removed the spline holder and check those bearings... the wheel bearings were in fact ok, but the spline holder bearings were farked!!

No Sicman, the vibration was specific to the Metzeler I had on... when I googled the issue, many people around the world were experiencing the same issue with the Metzeler ROADTEC Z8...perplexing !! It felt like you were constantly riding over a cattle grate....

I have the Conti's on my 650TK. They grip well and are stable on the road, but they are wearing a bit faster than I thought they might. Might not get to 10,000Km with the rear one, but front still looks new.
