Kenilworth Jam
« on: November 26, 2013, 02:47:23 PM »
Monthly Jam at the Kenilworth Hotel

I hope to be able to set up an over-nighter for this next year, but one is on this coming Friday (29/11/13) for those of you at a loose end and want to enjoy a spontaneous event. This will be the last one for this year!

The Kenilworth Hotel has a Music Jam on the last Friday night of most months. I have been going to most of these over the past 12 months or more.
There is a great beer-garden out back and a number of musicians/bands/singers travel from the local areas and from the Sunshine Coast to get together and jam.
They start setting up just after dark and finish around midnight.

Kenilworth Hotel has newly renovated rooms, most basic/ budget, but at least one room is very spacious and modern with large TV, A/C and ensuite. A continental breakfast is included with all rooms.
Call them to get a price and book a room. Kenilworth Hotel also has it's own kitchen and provides quite nice meals. If you have a tent, camper trailer, or van then you can stay at the showgrounds on the cheap and just out of town (on the Maleny side) I believe that it's free.

So, this friday night if you want a great night, a drink or 3, and then enjoy the twisties and the touring on the saturday then come along.

Sounds good IanB.
I'm taking the ST and will set up my little dome tent at the showgrounds.
The jam is held out back in the beergarden area and starts usually around dusk. You can walk through the pub to get out back.

Regards
Rod

A small section clipped from the video taken on the way to Kenilworth yesterday. Clipped and save from AVI to MP4, and then youtube sucked all the detail out of it after it was uploaded. Nevermind. It gives you a good look at the front suspension in action and the tip-over wing view angle. Taken with the cheap FullHD Aldi Action Cam. The camera has a waterprrof bung that protects the connectors at the rear of the camera, and it's also where the microphone is. I meant to take the bung out for the video but forgot. So, the sound is a lot more muffled compared to what it could be, and there is a lot of rattle noise from the key-ring attached to the bung.
