: I don't understand why my new front tyre is developing a ridge in the centre all around. The tyre place claims its due to the tyre being underinflated but I check the tyre pressure regularly and all seems ok

What pressure are you running, and which brand of tyre.
My Mitchies are 40 front, 42 rear.

On my 1100 it was 42-44 front and rear. Pr4 on back and Angel GT on front. Current BMW is PR4 f/r 2.9 to 3.0 Bar. About 42 - 44. Thats in the BMW handbook. Hope that helps. Nigel

And I run 290/290 on my ST1300, and usually get 23,000+ kays. And I frequently carry a pillion. And I have very narrow chicken strips.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine.

The Spyder's recommended pressures are 15 to 18 fronts and 30 on the rear tyre.

I have an ST1100
Honda suggests 36F/42R and I run 38F/45R as I ride two up most of the time.
I check pressures every two weeks at most and the day before leaving town for a ride.
On the 1300 I run 42F/45R which seems to work for us.
