Great day, good to catch up and the breakfast wasn't too bad either.
Thanks Guys,
A.

After finishing work I rode down from Toowoomba Hampton to Esk with 2 work mates, Great pie coffee and chat, good to catch up with a few old and some new faces. We headed home via Gatton back up the Toowoomba range and off to bed for a well earned rest

Good to get out on a ride today.  We left Highfields a little late, Graham is the only one who knows why  :grin

Esk-Hampton Rd through Ravensbourne is just a great ride with a little bit of everything.  Thanks to those who rode down with us.

On the way back we (Bushy, Dave and I) took a detour via Lake Perseverance, another nice road.

Had a blast today, we where a bit slow out of the blocks in meeting RustyEB, we landed in Highfields about 8.15....

Waiting for us was RustyEB, Tiger, & Chris with a couple of mates

had a great run up to Esk, thank you to the crazy truck driver who was trying to over take us all leaving Highfields.....

Rolling up there was already a great line up of bikes, and people parked up having a coffee!

We all had a great chat about What our bikes do, introduced the New Faces, Skippy, Gomac, RoadRunner, (others who i cant remember the names)

Got the Panorama shot of all the bikes! 22 ST's plus friends!

The Group Photo! bring it on WESTIES!

Great chats where had after the photos!

all in all had a damn good day!

A great time among fellow ST fans

Here's a different bunch of pix:

Pleasant run through cool Mt Nebo and Mt Glorious on the way over with YoungSTer and a rural rollick with TJ on the way home.  Nice weather for riding, but a bit hot by the time I got home through the city traffic lights.

Another huge turnout to raise the bar a bit higher for WA.

One observation:  we really don't want to confirm Joe Public's opinion about "bikies" by revving our engines long and loud at our meetings.   The Police attended one of our Esk Bakery events last year and I was surprised the locals didn't send them along again this time.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Nah, the schWing's made you soft!  It was great out over the mountains in the morning, and on the road homewards.  It hit 31 through the city which is too hot to sit looking at brain-dead red traffic lights.
A little suffering for a big gain.

Off you go and have your Milo before beddy-byes.     :rofl

I enjoyed the day very much.

I rode directly up the various M numbers, then north at Blacksoil (I think it's called) and into the bakery car park. After a coffee, some chat and a bite to eat, I then meandered from Esk, through Gatton, then to Allora, across to Boonah, then home through Canungra to Burleigh Heads. Bliss.

(my only complaint would be that mid section of the road between Gatton and Allora, near the Thiess memorial, is very rough!)

Thanks to everyone for making Loz and I feel so welcome. It was great to finally meet the faces behind the names.
This was our first of many rides.

I thoroughly enjoyed the RTE at Esk. Great bunch of people and really good to find so many like minded souls. Had a good look around the bikes and at the various approaches to farkling. Picked Shiney's brain for ideas and it was good to finally meet Diesel,Streak,Biggles etc. And to catch up with TJ again, look forward to the next ride.
