No longer made, or no longer sold is AUS? 

My guess is a Triumph Trophy, and if it's a Triumph, the problem could be anything in a wide range of electrical issues.

Electrical problem: Yes, a ground wire had corroded and separated from the ECU but this wasn't found until after the bike was flat topped home and the Tupperware was removed. It is not a British or Japanese bike. With Staintune pipes it has a note to die for. Pretty sure it is no longer made.

Well done Alan - spot on with the location, we were riding back from Cape Jervois when Rob's bike just cut out without prior warning.
The final clue is the manufacturer has been around longer than most.

The motorcycle is a Moto Guzzi Norge. In 2016 I rode my Honda VT750 to Byron Bay (for the Bluesfest) accompanied by Rob on his Guzzi Norge. It didn't miss a beat and at the end of each day Rob was as fit and fresh as when he started in the morning, unlike me. My interest in sports touring motorcycles was born. 3 months later I bought the ST1300 and haven't looked back - although after this year's ride to Byron Bay and experiencing the continuing deterioration of the country roads I have been seriously considering moving over to something like the Suzuki V-Strom 1000. I'm going to take the ST to a suspension specialist first. If nothing can be done to improve the suspension to give a more comfortable ride (mainly the front forks) on the goat tracks we call major country roads, I'm afraid that I'll start looking in earnest, my wrists,elbows, neck and back aren't what they used to be.
