Whilst we are waiting ......

Did you here about the naughty bell ringer?  He went to the bell tower and told himself off!

Mmmmm ......... I don't think it could be called a new road, perhaps it's just the road currently used.  The stone structure is old though!
I would've thought that they been told enough clues.

Part of the road was re-routed in 1998, so I'd call the old route the "old road".  There's plenty of hints to work on for this highly visible and iconic landmark.

It would be the original toll building at Glen Osmond. An easy one for the locals. I was nearly a local once.
I thought it was in a service lane type of thing but google says its in the middle of the road these days.

Yay!    This is in the middle of the road at the bottom of the South Eastern Freeway, the main road into Adelaide from Melbourne, and right on the edge of the metro area.  See https://goo.gl/maps/pPdN2dD6QQ32  for the precise location.  In the 1800s a toll was levied for use of the road, which was collected at this location.  The Old Toll House  is a very well know landmark.   Over to you Ppopeye :thumb

Speaking about the old road, (Devils elbow, Eagle on the Hill) mid to late 6o's, friends and myself used to sit in my Cooper S and wail for a VW beetle to start the hill climb. we would scoot ahead, and then slow down until the beetle had to drop back to 3rd gear, and then we would shoot off up the hill.
Poor beetle would be stuck in 3rd gear as they didnt have enough grunt to get into 4th again.

That section of the old road is a very nice fang.....   and is nicely maintained in case the Heysen Tunnels need to be closed.

Except for the Moss growing in the best lines through the curves & the odd stupid who spreads glass or oil over the lanes.

That was one I could have got for a change 😂

Big Ted did a lap around Oz last year so I am sure he can spare a photo for this game so I would like to nominate him.

OK, so it seems I took 1000s of photos on my lap around Oz, but very few with the ST in them... I need to do better than that!
Anyway, this was in my blog but has now been temporarily removed to at least make it a little harder.  ;-*
