I like to plans things well ahead, also helps with booking leave from work.

I'm hoping to leave for the National Rally the week before (probably Monday 16 March), spend a couple of nights (at around 700km and 1,400km - where ever that might be), get as far as Howard QLD (catch-up with an old mate), and then to Brisbane (catch-up with other mates), then to Toowoomba for Friday and Saturday, then meet some other mates for three or four days riding around SE QLD and northern NSW.

The return trip will take around two weeks and include a week with Mrs W at a resort near Coffs Harbour.

I'll be looking for some company for the ride up. If anyone is interested, please let me know.

Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)

Hi Micheal, like your thoughts but can,t manage it. I have booked my time,  leaving early Thursday to arrive Friday arvo for some well earned refreshments. Then start the return Mon, to be back in Vic, Tuesday. Off Wednesday Back into it Thursday, Bit of a world wind tour but, best time out I could get. I suspect I will run into a few like minded friendlies in both directions, though, and definitely snow chains will be carried for the rough roads........................................ :grin :eek :wht11

Always a bed here in Gulargambone NSW and its a flatter run to QLD. I may be able to ride with you from here and cut off to Bris while you go on to Howard.

Put it out there.  :grin
Cheers

Yeah you do, wow

Umm at this stage I'll be in for that, Need to see what Danny wants to do, but that kinda fits in as we were planning on leaving a week before as well.

I only need to go to a couple of places,
Marcus Beach, because, well...it's my beach.
also maybe see a friend, dunno about the second one yet

I'll keep that in mind.

Good to know there is some other like minded riders out there.  There'll be plenty of time to sort out details and detours, eg. Gulargambone and Marcus Beach.

Marcus Beach - been there.  From memory (and a Google Streetview reminder) it's a small subdivision on the Sunshine Coast.  Not much there, but if you need somone to take a pic of you at a "Marcus" sign, I might be able to help.

I'm pretty sure I'll be handed the key to the city/town, and given a parade upon arrival.
