Ever since my ABS and TCS stopped working only one of my ABS warning lights has been blinking. Had a look today and it appears one of the LED's has blown. Now the 3 LED's for the ABS & TCS warning lights are hard-wired in a separate sub-loom, as per this picture. My questions are...

1. Would the blown LED be the cause of the ABS not working, in so much as it has disrupted the circuit/system? Or likely to be a coinidence?
2. Is it possible to replace the LED on its own, or does the whole sub-loom need to be replaced?

Well I sorted out the dash light. Turns out the fuse that looked OK was blown after all.

With the warning lights working I was able to access the diagnostics and it seems the rear ABS sensor is the issue (which I suspected). As these sensors are the proverbial rocking-horse shit to find (and expensive when you do), has anyone tried using an alternative sensor and wiring it in place of the original?

The sensor may be just a little too far away, its not uncommon for them to be knocked when getting a tyre change

I've tried different gaps, and nope, same issue. The sensor has had a groove ground in to it the pulse ring (been that way since the previous owner) so it seems pretty clear the sensor is cactus.

I've found a possible alternative. There is a Honeywell sensor that someone else has wired up and works (with an adapter plate). Might be an option to do the same.
