After around 12 years of it hanging in the garage, I finally dragged the old push bike down yesterday and gave it a wash...
After pumping up the tyres and giving it the once over I figured I'd better drag out the helmet so I could take it for a spin.
Well, a lap around the block and I'd had enough...I'm too old, too fat & too unfit! :rofl
Does anyone want to buy a pushie, one careful owner and it's only been ridden to church on Sundays... :whistle

but that’s what it does…gets you fit, turns you into a lean, mean cycling machine 😄

and keeps the nees in shape .

The reason I bought the bike in the first place was to lose weight!
It didn't work, I've put weight on since buying it...
Apparently you need to actually ride it...no-one told me that!!! :|||| :rofl
-
I've taken mine on the trains to the last station on the Belair and Seaford lines and ridden it home from there.

Getcha yourself an eBike.
Today’s ride, Heathcote to Bendigo, 57.88km.
This month, 127.62km.
Oh, it’s an EV, never mind.

Good onyas, both of you! :thumbsup

Got nothing against EVs in certain situations, Michael! :grin

Couldn't resist the poke, the opportunity was too good.
Back to my original suggestion, try an eBike - it's the second best time you can have with your pants on. You don't need to outlay much in the way of $$ if you start on the bottom rung (fit a kit), you'll enjoy the ride, ride more often, the more you ride you'll gain more fitness (little by little) and perhaps shed to kg (little by little).
I fitted one of these kits for a mate a coupla years back, was an easy job.

I reckon he paid more, the battery will be as much again.
Or you surf FB Market Place for a good used one, eg. the one in the pic looks the same as mine.

Thanks for the info, Michael but I'm just not that keen... ++
We do have the Great Southern Rail Trail here but other than that I wouldn't be game to ride one on our crap roads.
Funnily enough I actually had an e-bike that I inherited from my brother but it was in need of a new battery so I ended up giving it to a friend.

.... the Great Southern Rail Trail ....
It's on my bucket list. The guys I rode with yesterday (one a mate since primary school, and then mates of mates) are pretty keen riders. Over the past few years they've managed to ride most of the rail trails throughout Victoria, but were talking of a revisit to the GSRT, so perhaps my wish will be fulfilled soon.
I'll let you know and perhaps we can meet at the Korumburra Bakery. It was the local Ulysses meeting point, so was pretty good, I suppose it still is.

Sounds like a plan! :thumbs
As for the bakery (Kellys), it's been ages since I've eaten there as I usually go to the other bakery in town...well, when I wasn't trying to lose weight! :whistle
Speaking of, I've now lost 7½ kgs since I started a month ago... :runyay
