I was walking home one day from the ST shop where I'd bought myself one of those new STeak Burgers and a STout Larger. Anywho I was walking along minding my own bees knees eating my STeak Burger and drinking my STout when I saw a white rabbit slip down an OzSTOC hole at the base of tree. Well, that's something you don't see everyday so I gave pursuit of that white rabbit into the OzSTOC hole.

But the hole was deep and I fell......when I landed I was in a wondrous world of ST1100's and ST1300's, the guy running it had a Streak of uncannyness about him of a Cheshire Cat and his side kick a Mad Hatter of a bloke who loved Diesel for some unknown reason. Oh how we laughed and laughed we had so much fun.

Then one day an Ev........... ah but that another story for another time......

And that's how I became a member of the world of OzSTOC

I found Ozstoc when the Kawasaki dealership around the corner from my house suddenly folded.  I bought my bike and had it serviced there and wanted to know why.  A google search brought me to this forum and a thread devoted said store's demise.  I wanted to write a reply so registered for the forum.  By my own admission I didn't know what an ST was and had to google further to answer anti bot/spammer questions to register for the site.  By this time I had forgotten what I wanted to write in said thread but started to read other threads in the forum and RTE's in South Australia and decided to get involved.  The rest they say is history.

You're bumping tonight  :wink1

Bought Candy,  thought I should find out more about the 1100 and was surprised to find a club devoted to them, and here I am. I now check for unread topics and messages before I check for emails & social media accounts  :grin

I did a facebook search after buying my pride and joy  :dred11 and found the members page and joined.
Googled ST1100 about a month later and found and joined the forum . I couldn't believe my luck that i found a group of enthusiasts who were as or more passionate about these wonderful machines as me , the test as the saying goes is history . :beer

All I had to do was purchase an ST 1100 and 7 years later purchase an ST 1300 in 2005 and i  have been hooked ever since.  With 205000 klms on the big red bike I just wish they would make a replacement, the VFR 1200 is a poor comparison. Presently riding a Suzuki 650 V strom saving the mileage on the ST.  Think of purchasing a later model ST but concerned over the dreaded efu problems.
