I am down for a new cabin if it is built, with possibly 3 beds already taken. Just checking on one other who said they would come but not might make it.

Hi Streak,
The boss (Ros) and I had trouble getting somewhere to stay (no cabins left!) but have now secured a room High Mountain Motel just up the road a bit.   :runyay We will now be there on the  Friday night and the Saturday night. Have you worked out a program for the weekend as yet?
See you there

Arrive Friday PM (or early afternoon - depends on how I get there and whether get there early and then do a Putty Road ride), leave Sunday sometime.  I only have to get back to Canberra, but can do it the easy way or a few more interesting ways.  Depends what ride we do saturday..lots of options depending on how people want to ride.

I can assure you that the 'Saturday ride' will certainly be one not to miss. Blueheeler55 (Pete) has done a fantastic job on this one - but I can't say too much just yet.     :-(((           :whistle

I'll get there Friday, leave Sun (mid) morning.

I'm planning to leave Wednesday arvo and ride to Lismore to join Laurie Green. Then head off from Lismore early Thursday to hopefully hook up with Dave Router at Tenterfield. The plan from there is to ride to somewhere that will put us about 300 to 400k's from Blackheath, so we arrive there mid Friday arvo ready for the fun to begin  :thumbsup

I'll then head home on Sunday taking 2 days to do the trip. I'm sure there will be a few of us Queenslands doing the ride home together.

Cheers
Barry and Marissa :) :)

My current plan should it come to fruition, is to leave here Easter Sat, arriving at my Brother in Law's home at Barham NSW Mon or Tues then ride to the rally site Thurs (approx 800kms) Turn around Sun & do it all again.
Arriving back home by the following Thurs, be interesting to have new tyres fitted then come back 2 weeks later & get another set  :o
My current dielemma is that I won't have enough leave by then to take any longer as I'd promised the missus to take her away for a week in Feb & I don't dare back out on that one  :well

The wife and I will be there after lunch Friday and will head off with anyone going roughly in our direction Sunday PM. Aside from Barry and Streak, anyone else bringing their wife/partner ?

Hey Pete,
Where and when are you going to get Blackheath on the Friday?. Is there an opportunity to ride somewhere together on the way up?
Cheers

At the moment I'd hazard a guess, Dick, and say we'll leave around 10 A.M. If that suits you, we can divert somewhere on the way and make the inbound ride a bit more interesting rather than just go straight there.
Got any suggestions?
Cheers,
Pete

How about Bells Line of Road to Lithgow then Tarana, Oberon, Hartley then Blackheath. According to Google it is 231 Km (3hrs 41 Minutes). If we leave at 10am, have lunch in Tarana or Oberon we should be at Blackheath at around 2.30 or 3pm. You have probably been on all these roads (as we have) but it is a nice ride. Plenty of time to decide. Just a suggestion.

Others may be receiving this as we speak.  Accommodation confirmations.

We have now arranged with the Blue Mountains City Council to leave the existing budget style cabins in place until after our new accommodation is installed.  It looks as though the major works here will be put back to commence in May.

Therefore, I have a basic budget style cabin to offer you for the 13th and 14th April 2012.

Our basic/standard cabin has the following inclusions;
-   Double bed and two sets of single bunk beds in open plan arrangement.
-   Kitchenette facilities i.e. microwave, hotplates, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, toaster, kettle, bar fridge
-   TV
-   Heating
You would need to use the amenities block facilities which is a short walk from the cabin and there is no bedding supplied so we can either hire you a bedding pack for a one off fee of $10 per bed or you can bring your own if you have room on your bikes!

The nightly rate for four people is $89.00.  As you are part of the group you will receive a 10% discount.

Hi Diesel & Streak,
You can put my name in the hat, looks like I can get the time of work and have been able to Book a cabin last week so if any one needs a bed for Friday & Saturday nights, I have tow available.
It's been to long between long rides. :dred11
