My name is Douglas and I have been riding and messing around with bikes for the last 42 years. I have been retired for the last 3 years. However, I run a part time motorcycle rider training business. This business keeps me from getting board and provides me with the opportunity to pass on my many years of safe riding experience.
I have owned many different bikes over the years and currently have a stable of nine bikes.

Do I have a favorite from this list? Well no each one had/has its merits and provides a different riding experience, I love them all. However, the ST1100 is my most ridden ride and the one I choose for those enjoyable longer runs and scooting around town.
I have made this bike my own by adding a few "farkles":
MRA Varo Touring Screen
Audiocom communications system
TomTom Rider
40 Channel CB
AirHawk
Merino sheep skin seat cover
Custom GearSack Rack
LED Driving Lights
Audiovox CCS100 Cruise Control
Flag Carrier
Custom seat
Tow Bar
Park brake
12V BMW power sockets
"Quick Over" bike cover
Laminar lip "Ears"
Reflective Pin Striping
The most involved fitting procedure was definitely the Audiovox CCS100 Cruise Control and I posted my experience and modifications to the ST-Owners.com forum in this thread
http://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?41707-ST1100-Audiovox-installation&highlight=Scroll down to about the fifth post and you will find mine.
I look forward to meeting and riding with you in the near future. Do you have a regular coffee spot in Perth?
