Goolwa Motor Museum - near Middelton
« on: December 29, 2012, 12:43:35 PM »
I've given this subject it's own topic to make tracking possible numbers a little easier.

Goolwa Motor Museum
There's a small motor museum in Goolwa, just down the track from Middleton.
http://www.australasianmotormuseums.com.au/goolwa_motor_museum.php
He's normally open Wednesdays to Saturdays 10.00am to 4.30pm (Entry is $8.00)
but he'll open up for us on Sunday if there is enough interest.  Any takers?

So far we have the following.....
PhilSTer
StinkyPete
Saaz

Count me in please, Stinky Pete.

I also want to chase up the Goolwa Maritime Museum ( I think it has moved, was run by a Frank Tuckwell (retired now),  can't find much on the web, may need to ring the Council down there, any thoughts.

Cheers
Dave

Abe,
Go to http://www.alexandrina.sa.gov.au/page.aspx?c=200  and you'll find contact details for Frank.  He's on the local Council.

Many thanks for that Pete you have made my day (and the rest of the year).  Frank is/was the only person that was able to certify inland water record/s on the Mighty Murray River.

Cheers

Pete,
Assuming it will be in the morning you can count me in and maybe Theresa although she may go to see her girlfriend in Victor Harbor. If you are looking for numbers I can twist Theresas arm and see if her girlfriend and husband (Steve) would like to come. Steve has a bike.

I'd be guessing mid-late morning, depending upon what other may wish to do.  I was going to incorporate the Museum into the tour of Goolwa, Goolwa Wharf, and the Murray Mouth.

Hi Pete,

Count me in also. Looks like a POMcentric theme with a few BSA's and Triumphs etc included.

Sounds like an interesting tour.
