Home again a short while ago. Left a few minutes after 7am, no specific destination.
Was around 11 degrees when I left, fairly gusty wind, chill factor dropped temp to around 7 degrees. A light to medium overcast for the whole trip
Not much traffic, travelled northwest towards the SA border at Langkoop, then NE through Edenhope to Horsham and to Stawell and Ararat where I had a coffee break.
Headed south through Willaura and Glenthompson then Caramut and Koroit. A late lunch munch at Port Fairy and then the final run back to Portland where there was a slight mist of rain as I turned into town. Temps were around the same for the whole trip, but I had no need to turn on the grip heaters. I must be getting used to this kind of weather?
Was absolutely great to just get out there and ride. Got a shock when I checked the GPS at home. Apparently I got a trifle 'zippy' somewhere on my travels? Possibly between Casterton and Dergholm. Also noticed that I have not yet corrected the time on my camera for daylight saving.
