Brock:
Today was the day to fit a new Lithium battery (Part No LFP14H-BS) sourced from Bunbury KTM. Price was good and postage quick.

Yep, its short and very light, and it doesnt exactly fit.

Its a good thing they supply spacer feet in the box.

When fitted, it fits much better.

Brock:
Now if you have changed your battery in the past, you will know that getting the terminal nut to stay in the right place with little access to fiddle with it is a pain.

Pos Terminal

Neg Terminal

Here is a trick I use to make it much easier. All you need is some insulation from some 8Gauge speaker wire (Jaycar etc) cut to fit the termial hole height.

and insert it along with the nut

Now, the nut is held firmly in position and the bolt is easily fitted through the terminals and tightened with out any problems.

Yorkie:
to hold the nuts in place use foam ear plugs

Brock:
That is also a great idea Yorkie, just roll them up and put in . They will expand to fill the space.

I no longer ha ve access to free earplugs
