Probably going to be a rush of photos this evening, as they're arriving in Brisbane.

Here's mine, an "M" :

It's a fair fit without the liner.  I've never used the liner in my other jacket, so this one could go in the shed too.
Lots of zips.  Too tight and high on the collar- fine for very cold conditions.  I ride with my Motodry turned back at the top of the zip.  I could get my thermal layer under this (better than the liner, anyway, and I'd be right.  The front zip is well weather-protected.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Received jacket today, but same problem here 6XL OSTOC definitely smaller than Dririder 5XL.
Lower front pockets lots of storage there but small opening?
Other than that great jacket looking forward to seeing the sizing issue resolved, Or I'll just have to lose weight.

Firstly, yes Stream it is your fault ... we need someo e to blame it may as well be you .. or Shiney... maybe even Gadget or Wildrose, we need someone to be the kicking post.

Marcus, a sad face on Shiney??  That's just his normal general demeanor, I thought I saw him smile once ..it was anST riding by and the corner of his mouth went up....

lol

All good mate,  it is a pride thing for me, I put my name on the line to do this wonderful project,  and I am buggered if a little thing like sizing problems is going to derail it  :beer

I'm fascinated to see what possible fix there is apart from a mass swap.  You're not gonna trim much meat off me- I lost 2.5 kg in the past 5 days with a passing sickness.  When I get back to eating I fear the jacket might be a tad tighter.  The adjustment straps on each side are completely slack, in response to all those who enquired about that of others.

My 7XL has a gap of about 26 cm measured across my large stomach muscles.
It probably won't be of any use as a hand-me-down unless someone has a concave stomach and arms as long as an orangutan.
If efforts to resolve the sizing issue come to naught I'll ask Alice to make a waterproof front insert with a zip either side that matches the teeth of the front zips on the jacket.

Thank you for your reassurance Streak.   I'm very happy with the design, colours and the quality.  It really is as good as promised! Everything you had control over has turned out very well, and thanks for all your great efforts.
I have confidence that the sizing issues will be sorted. Will keep an eye out for further advice on what to do next.  Cheers, Dave

Remember travelling to Malaysia a few years ago and trying on  Asian/Middle Eastern XL T shirts that were only European Mediums.  They didnt make European sizes.  This is possibly the problem, all in the interpretation.

Got my jacket in Canberra yesterday. Had a quick look only. Today I went through the fitting stage. I orderd XL and expected to be a bit loose in it since I lost weight since ordering (1kg). Dont laugh. 1kg real loss is hard to manage. If you dont believe try it. Removing the liner gave me just the right fit. Quality is impressive when compared with the Aldi jackets sold in August. My answer to the sizing/fit problem would be ordering a new one. By this price I dont mind making the XL jacket my summer one and get an XXL for winter. It was a nice surprise to get a jacket at all after all the hassle.
As I just said before I dont mind ordering an XXL jacket and this can be taken as a firm order for your planning.
Thanks for your effort to get this organized.

You're right.  In most communities their would be all kinds of rants, threats and burnings at the stake.

Ok girls and boys, this is the stage of where we are at.

TJ & Leo brought their jackets up to my work today, and we did sizing tests of what fits and works.

Leo has a 4XL
Streak has a 2XL
TJ has a LARGE

this how the sizing fitted.

Leo's 4XL fitted me perfectly (I ordered a 2XL)

My 2XL Fitted TJ perfectly (TJ ordered a Large

so we have determined it is a 2 size difference, as in if you ordered a 2XL you will need a 4XL.

in saying that, we have sat down with the spreadsheet of all 82 orders, and worked out that if we have to do the swap around the country we will still be 33 jackets short of everyone getting a jacket.

I have emailed mark at Zen the full breakdown, plus photos, as he is skyping with his supplier tonight.

at this current moment in time we have a few contingency plans in place, but we are keeping a lid on everything until we here back from Mark.

Thank you everyone for you patience, we are moving as fast as we can without rushing in and making a mistake.

PHOTOS

here are the photos from today:

Leo in his 4XL

me in Leo's 4XL

me in my 2XL

TJ in my 2XL

TJ in his Large

us with all the paperwork spread everywhere trying to sort out the jacket sizing

apart from that everything is under control!

Certainly appreciate everything Streak, you and the team are doing, this is above and beyond and I feel for Mark from Zen he is between a rock and a hard place dealing with overseas suppliers.

This is clearly the best finished and thought out jacket I have ever owned, I know I'm going to get years of happy riding once we get over this little hiccup..... ++
