Help needed
« on: December 24, 2018, 09:11:30 AM »
Hello all
A six month quest chasing a mystery vibration in my st1300 following hard on the heels of a three month quest to replace the knock sensor lead has led me two days before Xmas to decide to clean the injectors after I discovered the hose and 5 way tee were clogged with tar.
This led me to construct an injector cleaning machine which yesterday led me to removing an injector and promptly snapping the plastic flange off the tiny  filter on the top of the injector which led to lots of words being said which would make a coal miner blush and quite a severe tantrum.
After a couple of hours in the naughty corner I have calmed down and now need to get another filter or failing that a complete injector.
Is there anyone in ozstoc land who can put a long suffering soul out of his misery who has only been able to use his bike for less than 3 months in 2018. I am about to give up riding and buy a boat.
Cheers Todd

Just looking at the parts https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/honda/motorcycle/2005/st1300a-a-st1300a/throttle-body-assy

I can't see a filter in relation to an injector (item 11) however I did notice what appear to be two 5 way connectors; item 17 (5 way) and item 5 (T joint).

Not sure what the local price would be but it's $US140 shipped ($AUD 198) and you'd be looking at 10-15 business days
