One of the World's Greatest Rides
« on: March 25, 2016, 08:21:14 AM »
These roads would have to be rated up there amongst the world’s greatest motorcycle rides.

I’ve been involved with Mike Hyde’s TT 2000 long distance motorcycle event (www.TT2000.org) for some years. This year between being at the start and finish lines I did the Three Passes – The Lindus Pass, Arthurs Pass and The Lewis Pass. Sorry I didn't stop for more photos…

About 3,000 km over a long weekend

The 2016 TT2000 starters at Picton (There was another concurrent start in Dunedin)

Not exactly the go-fast brigade!

See you in Christchurch in 24 hours.

Dawn at the historic church on Lake Tekapo

Bluff – About as far south as you can go without getting rusty

Stirling Point is the end of the road at Bluff

Bluff was not without its nautical casualties over the years

Full moon camping at Omarama

Me and the team checking in the TT2000 finishers back in Christchurch

Had to get a shot of the NZ OzSTOC flag at the finish line

Rest area in the Lewis Pass – Absolutely stunning riding!

Wee stop

Things you see along the way - Who’d a thought Swiss tourist’s travel with their fold-up Alp Horns?!
