RTE INFORMATION:

This RTE with a difference is for those who currently tow a Motorcycle trailer or Motorcycle camp, or for any member who has any interest in finding out more about Motorcycling towing and camping. The weekend will showcase the various Trailers & camping equipment and setups in the club by members. We will have Camper Trailers, Cargo Trailers, micro Tents and swags along with all manner of light weight Motorcycle friendly camping supplies.

The venue is Pockey & ST2UP's home and large backyard in Guyra, there is ample camping room for all who attend with outdoor areas, open fire, undercover parking and a B&B and Pub with accommodation within 300 metres.

We will provide a BBQ dinner and Breakfast for the attendee's, so with meals and accommodation provided makes for a cheap and informative weekend away with your club mates.

So come along and have a break from the scorching summer temps while checking out the Motorcycle towing/camping concept before NatRally 2016 in W.A

We have spare camping gear including Tents and swags to accommodate members without any if you want to try the camping experience, so the weekend will only cost you your fuel WOW:

I might come up but it depends on if my daughter and grandkids are coming over for a visit during the school holidays.

I will bring either a Classic Ultralite or a homemade trailer . . Tent n camping gear . .

Mid sized Classic trailer.

Using our 4 person dome tent as Heather prefers to stand while getting her clothes changed. On my own I use a smaller three person dome tent. Esky shelf can double as table for the gas stove.

At the Canberra Camping and Liesure show today there was a local Canberra manufacturer of camper/goods trailers for motorbikes . . The normal trailer was about $3-4,000 but they also will custom make a trailer for you . . They looked pretty good . . The trailer n tent weighed about 140kg all up . . Plenty of storage space . .

nothing wrong with my tourlite but I would like to support local when I can

Our backyard looks like the Trailer RTE has already started....I have been moving stuff around for a recent function.....there is a 6th Trailer (boat) that is out of view :eek

The owners have been away for a few months and only accepting 2 night or greater bookings due to the needing to pay cleaners fees etc as they normally attend to this themselves......so no bookings for the 16th at this stage and they will be taking single nights from the New Year.....so give them a call on their mobile and advise you have spoken to me ;-*

We have a few swags available (double and singles) to loan out if you don't own any bike compatible camping gear......so don't let the fact you don't have any camp gear stop you from attending.

Advise if you need a swag....around the fire if the weather is fine or in the shed if it's not ;-*

For the attendees......

Our address for this RTE is 100 Ollera St Guyra and we are on the corner of Lagoon St.

Enter the backyard via the back lane off Lagoon St. (1st gate on your left) heaps of parking and if the weather is inclement we will fit bikes undercover ;-*

If you have any interest in bike camping or just what an excuse to head away from the summer heat and into the cooler New England with some magnificent riding roads to catch up with your OzSTOC buddies around a campfire with some good food then your more than welcome......we do have some camping gear available if you wish to try your hand at camping, a B&B across the road and a Pub and motel accomodation within a short walk.

Pffft........Hardly a challenge, on the grass outside my shed there is a flat drive through spot that will accommodate the Landcruiser and van on the side street :thumbsup or a free camp spot 500 Mtrs away, or the Caravan Park is 2k's away......in fact it's the highest Caravan Park in Australia.

Just a local.
Last time they put the shot in the muscle.2nd time they got the Bursa.It was u/s guided but they still :cuss ed it up.
Had a bad reaction & was off my chops for about 6 hours.
No needling last time so i'd expect with all the extra prodding it will be very sore come Friday.

I am planning on FarRide 38 to Armidale and the Nambucca spin-off . . But I think your Fiji trip clashes . . I hope to get around to Qld, Vic and SA for a few RTE's this year so hopefully catch up on one or two.

I'll have a Classic Ultralite trailer sitting unused in the garage that weekend. If anyone with a tow hitch, but without a trailer feels as they would "fit in" a little better at this event with a trailer, it is available for the weekend.

The Elite camper trailer will be sitting idle too, but it needs its brake sorted out (hoping this only requires bleeding), so its not available (unless the brakes are sorted).

Slight change of plan :blu13
Upon returning to the specialist yesterday it was found that the calcuim build up had exploded off the tendon since my last visit 10 days ago so no needling was nessesary.Had no reaction to the roid shot & am painfree with full movement this morning so gadget will be driving down solo.I will be taking my time and enjoying the ride ;-*

I'm not going to make this after all. I got as far as my sisters on the central coast yesterday and have come down with a stomach bug which is not pretty and I'd hate to infect anyone else.
The good news is I will get a couple of days R&R on the beach before heading back home, as long as the weather holds. Hope to catch up with you all on a future run.

I made good use of the "Flappy paddles" coming up from Casino to Tenterfield. Barely had to touch brakes.

Home half an hour ago (6:30). A bit of rain heading down to Dorrigo but dry and WARM from then on. A very enjoyable and very well organised weekend. Thanks heaps to Chris and Jean for the organising and cooking. Each get together we attend makes us appreciate what a great club this is. Thankyou to all.

Got home safely about an hour ago. Caught some rain through thunderbolts and Gresford. Had a lovely round trip and saved 4 turtles from the road.

A huge thank you to Chris and Jean for your excellent food and hospitality. Was lovely to see everyone again.

Actually i was exhausted 3 sheets to the wind in the spare bedroom with the 2 snorer's after arriving after dark soaking wet friday night.
The EPA has sealed the room off until remediation work can commence :o

Great company, great location, great food great facilities. The best Lasagne I've eaten in decades. It's almost a shame to have to go back to work this morning.

I want to thanks to everyone that helped and offered to help dad and I over the weekend all the offers for help remined me that we are not just a club we are all just a big family. Dad is well his hip is broken in 5 places he has said he will be back on the bike in a week.

Iif any one is looking for a trailer. Found this add on gumtree. Add number 1093630105. Is down on Kangaroo Island.
Near new trailer that apparently has not been used. $2000 asking price, was at $2500. Foe the more experienced trailer owners is this a reasonable price?
