"The Goods Shed" has just been upgraded with a large fireplace, plus it has an fire pit just outside.

Pub just up the road (300m) for dinner and beverage.

There was some fabulous roads with great views along the way.

Post by: STroppy on April 01, 2016, 05:20:53 PM: Kevin, the guy from Neville Siding, told me that the Big Shed, while shown as sleeping 26, actually has separate units inside the shed so it is not just a big shed full of bunks without internal walls, so don't be put off by the thought of a great big open shed with lots of drunken, snoring, ~~farting~~ father types all sharing . . But clarify with Kevin when making your booking . . Do it soon or you could miss out altogether . .

Correct - The rooms line the inside walls, with a courtyard area with tables and chairs in the centre of the shed. There is a large kitchen inside the front door and along one wall is fridges and cupboards for storing your own food stuffs.

Tonight I spoke with the gent from Neville Siding and he said it was only Terry and Myself that had booked in for both nights so far. So I might suggest you refresh your bookings to make sure.
Also please mark down whether you are attending the pub for dinner (300m up the road) as we will need to give the pub a heads up on numbers so they have enough food and grog (Its only a little establishment) :beer :eat :beer

I'm sure that for an additional monetary donation to the St. Vinnies OzSTOC Blanket ride that your breakfast can be served to you in bed by Sicman in his fortunately unseen OzSTOC Mankini. :o

After a hearty breakfast and reluctant farewells to fellow Ozstocers we hit the road to head off home. We rode through foggin rain for the first hour through Orange on towards Wellington. From Wellington it remained cool and overcast to just north of Dubbo where we have had rain and more fog all the way to Narrabri
The two nights at Neville were absolutely great, lots of laughs, jokes, eating and of course a few beverages. It was wonderful to see so many blankets donated for a worthy cause as well.

Ahh so romantic....Capt Thunderbolt and Ree, who bought along their son Nathan (the hands in the background)

The salubrious venue at Neville was a talking point among all the attendees....the venue can sleep 43 people in total and the owner/ manager Kevin is to be congratulated for the venue he provides.

The Neville Sidings RTE evolved into a blanket ride to aid ST Vinnies in their unrelenting challenge of providing some winter warmth to families less fortunate......awesome effort OzSTOCers :-++

Post by: blonde ambition on June 06, 2016, 10:19:18 AM: Had a lovely weekend thank you to everyone for making it another great trip. Had a foggy trip back to west Sydney navigating through some epic puddles. Decided to leave the bike and drove back to the central coast. Very wet but no damage.

Hope everyone got home safely and look forward to seeing you all at the next one :thumbsup

It poured with rain for our Saturday ride from Hay to Neville, but the warmth and camaraderie of "The Goods Shed" soon thawed us out. Good slow food at the pub on Sturday night was a bonus. Fish's Harley wouldn't run properly on Sunday morning, but a loose plug connection ;-* was soon located and we were off home again. Sunday's forecast was horrible, but we had a few showers early, and then a fine day and we landed at Balranald around 1700hrs. We shared stories and red with other travellers around the fire pit. Today was clear blue sky most of the day for an easy ride home.

Thanks to the organizers for a stunning RTE location and, for all of those who bought blankets for a most worthy cause.

PS Fish's Hardley made it home OK, but the zipper on his Harley Davidson Jacket broke. :crackup

The stack of blankets brought by everyone was fantastic, what a group :Blow :Blow

The accomodation was awesome, really comfy bedding the best ever :runyay

Diner was good but it was nearly breakfast for some including me :Stirpot but then I wouldn't have had our yummy yummy Bacon & Egg muffin, 2 of them actually for me which is unheard of but I needed to absorb the reds from the night before.

Thanks you every one for making this so great :hatwave

The fingerling had lots of red vine, port, chocolate etc and forgot to dance with all the women :rofl so no wonder the jacket broke.

Back home now with lots of happy memories of the weekend. As relative newbie to RTE's I'd encourage all other OZSTOC newbies who haven't been on an overnight RTE to see if you can attend one; they are a lot of fun!
I travelled through a lot of rain on Sunday and at a lunch stop at Yass found out both roads to home were cut by flood water and fallen trees so 'rested up' overnight at Yass and finished the ride to Nowra on Monday. No rain but lots of evidence of damaged trees, mudslides and ground water. The weather at Neville was better! Good to hear others are making it home safely too.
