Title: Accessory socket location on ST1300
Post by: curious1 on October 31, 2015, 02:47:40 PM
I would need the location of this socket shown on the electrical drawing of the ST but have no idea where it would be and I dont like to strip the bike more then needed to find it.
I hope somebody came accros it and remembers where it is.
Cheers

I think what you are looking for is the spot where the Quartet Harness plugs into the wiring loom.   This is on the left side of the bike, just rear of the head stem.  You will need to buy a "Quartett Hanness" which plugs int the loom socket, and provides powered outputs for several devices such as GPS, Hot Grips and so on, with some of the outlets being switched on with the ignition, and some being hot all the time.    These are not for high current draw accessories.

The above link gives a little extra information.

Thank you StinkyPete but according to the electrical drawing this socket is fused with 15A and has nothing connected to it at factory. It should be a dead end cable. I will investigate as much as possible before taking the plastic off. I am very slow in putting it back on from past experience.

If you  mean the connector shown on the right of thid diagram, then its the quartet harness socket.

It requires an accessory lead to be used effectively
