Leanne has been hinting she would like a bike of her own, as I am very passionate about motorcycles I have always encouraged her to ride though I must admit as I have aged (never grown up - just aged) I have been somewaht less encouraging & have avoided the topic of her riding for sometime and as such it has been nearly 5 years since she has owned a bike of her own.
Well I could no longer deny her the pleasure of riding so we looked at various styles of bikes & the choice came down to a) Triumph Bonneville, b) Benelli BN302 c) Hyosung Aquila 650. Leanne has favoured the cruiser style of bike & her last machine was a Kawasaki VN900 Custom so she was leaning towards the Hyosung, I was umming & arring & thought to myself if you are going to have a cruiser then surely it should be a Harley Davidson & that is how she came to own the XL883C.

My greatest fear & the thing that has held me back from Leanne having a bike is that she could have an accident, and even though she has past experience having owned six previous bikes (CB125, CB250RS, Z500, CB400 Superhawk, GSX550EF, VN900) she has had a 5 year break. At the end of the day we cannot stop the one we love from enjoying what we enjoy so what I have to do now is assist her to hone the skills to enjoy this sport safely, luckily she already has the sense.
