Title: Police rear light bracket
Post by: Wombat on February 04, 2016, 04:36:08 PM
I am toying with the idea of rebuilding my 1995 ST1100 into an original looking police bike and need a rear light plate that fits over the pod. Has anyone got one in their shed or one that I can copy.

Cheers in advance  ;-*

I think they are off ST1300s, you are welcome to come over and try them to see if they will fit though ( I live near Fremantle)

Regards

John

The rear pod bracket is the same for both models, they do come up on Ebay and gumtree from time to time, will keep you notified if I find any parts.

Thanks Pete
I have acquired one already and just short of a dummy siren. Need to get some photos of the WA Bikes circa 1995 to match the stickers etc. I understand that the Highway and Metro bikes had different markings. So if anybody is watching information will be much appreciated.
Cheers all  :grin

I have a set of red red lights, also have blue lens, have electronics to make them alternate, depends on whether you are going to ride this or whether it's for show purposes, I've also got a siren horn, I do have a pole light but I'm not sure if I want to sell it.
Front lights are whelen par36 type, but sold these years ago. Do you want to put graphics on too, what scheme? UK battenberg or Australian?

Will take the lights, was just going to use them as added brake lights or hazard.  Not sure on graphics as yet. Is it possible to come tomorrow for them . How much?

They don't have General Duties coppers on motor bikes (ARGGGHHHHH) :OldMan :OldMan,

You have to be a specially trained traffic copper to get to swing your leg over the seat of one of those babies..

The photos are of the old ST1100s, The Highway Patrol bike was from TEG Traffic Enforcement Group, State Traffic, it has the marking TE705 (Traffic Enforcement )

The other bike would have been a traffic bike assigned to one of the outstations like Fremantle or Warwick

I have the siren horn, like in the photo just needs some white paint to look the same.

OK gents
I haven't been on and seen this for a while. John in the TE 705 photo there is a light mounting on the rear of the antennae/light bracket. did this have a round light or square and is there any photos of such. Also the rear bracket has a speaker mounted atop which these photos don't show so is there a year that this happened or was it something out of the ordinary?

cheers to you all

Bill, the light on the back is a rectangular strobe mounted to an extra bracket which John kindly sold me one.
If you need a rear bracket Simmo50 or I have a spare.

Sorry mate, no offense, was actually referring to the bikes not the officers.....
