Just home for a break after part 1 of the FR1200Gold for the Armidale RTE.

A quick look at the Forum and then a nap before a 3:00AM launch for the finishing line.

That was the first longish outing for the Wing.
Home at 5:50 after 1768 km for the weekend.

Well done!

How does the Wing compare to the ST for this sort of riding?

Well done!

How does the Wing compare to the ST for this sort of riding?

The Wing is a top machine for cruising the highway- tons of power!  Great cruise control.  I don't like the factory GPS- my Garmin is far better.
But (and there's always a butt)- while the seat is wider and flatter, one's butt is still numb after about the same time as it is on the ST.
When it comes to the logistics of FarRiding at the challenging end of the scale, I'll take the ST every time.  The explanation is a bit involved, but sometimes simpler is far better.

It is interesting to read what you had to say about the comparison between the ST1300 and the Goldwing  :like
