Looking at next mid week lunch ride Friday 29th.
I am suggesting a return to Grass Valley Tavern but more than happy to hear suggestions from interested members.
-
Grass Valley would work for me, it was a good feed last time
-
Not been to this place so I'm in.
-
I'm out, still in Thailand

As in the past Brock, we only want to know if you will be there, not somewhere else
-
Unfortunately Grass Valley currently does not open until 4.00
So now looking at:-
http://www.riversedgecafe.com.au/ (http://www.riversedgecafe.com.au/)
and
http://www.dukesinn.com.au/content/restaurant.html (http://www.dukesinn.com.au/content/restaurant.html)
in Northam
or
http://www.noblefallstavern.com.au/ (http://www.noblefallstavern.com.au/)
Which is just past Gidgegannup
I haven't been to any of them so please other preferences and / or first hand knowledge about them
-
Not sure what I'm doing on this day.

Thanks Gavo. Have they actually installed street lights there?
Suggest we leave it at River Side this time and hit Noble Falls Tavern next time.
Having driven past Noble Falls Tavern many times and worked with one of its previous owners it is definitely on my to visit list.

Yes, and power should go in some time in the next 5 years.

Apologies chaps but I will have to give this ride a miss owing to an engagement which I can't cancel however I will be attending the Jarrahdale run on Saturday morning.

Thanks for the heads up John, see you Saturday

Well this turned into city meets the country or the dry meet the wet.
Early weather forecasts during the week were predicitng afternoon showers for Perth so it was looking good for at least a dry ride to to lunch. Unfortunately for Sirchilly, Craig (a work mate and friend of Gavo's and pseudo OzSTOC member) and myself, the rain arrived early resulting in the three of us who live in Perth passing through a few heavy showers as we rode over the Darling Range on our way to Northam. The other three attendees, Gavo, Yorkie and Fossil, who all live east of the Darling Range, had nice dry trips. So with a roll up of 6 we all enjoyed a great lunch with a magic view. The early arrival of the showers however did result in a nice dry ride home.
View from our table:-

Not sure if everybody was checking Yorkie's feet (that is Yorkie's grey hair sticking out between Sirchilly and Craig's BMW) or Craig's lovely old BMW:-
