Hi Royce, not sure, but my VFR had to go thru a RWC for registration. Without issue, and its a nice air horn without being over the top. I am in Vic so a guess might be  it depends which state your in? Certainly gets others motorists attention though................... :wht11 :grin

Either Biggles or John Meara may be able to shed some light on this one Royce

I've always had Stebel airhorns.  I have not had one knocked back on a Roadworthy.
Mind you, regarding the possibility of being snagged by Police, I very seldom use it, so the chance of being challenged that way is not large, and I think the circumstances in the event of my using it would predominate in any follow-up discussions.
Having said that, the OEM Goldwing horn is just as loud as a Stebel Nautilus.
Go ahead and get one.  There are two places in Brissie who sell them on eBay.  Funnily enough, OnlineAuto in Virginia advertise them on eBay for $35 plus $6.45 postage.  I went to the warehouse and he said their price there is $39.95.  Wouldn't budge even when I pointed out I was saving them the eBay commission.  Very odd!   Wot thuh

They certainly get their attention. I even used it to clear cars out of the way for an Ambulance.

I think that the only requirement for a horn, is that it must be a single tone. IE, no Colonel Bogey, or musical horn.

Its ok to have two or more notes, but they must play together to give the single tone.

thanks for that  :thumbs as that's what I was hoping. there's very little room on the CTX and OEM horn isn't very loud' I'd bought a stebel for the ST but not fitted it so guess where its going but the only place it'll  fit is to delete OEM and wrangle it into that spot. lookout clowns who  :fp  SMIDSY  ++
