Whale season again.

1 Southern Right Whale 1000 metres offshore from the Water Tower (Whale viewing platform) at Wade Street, Portland
Date sighted: 15th June 2016
Time sighted: 10:20am

Portland - Victoria's Whale Watching Capital

2 Humpback Whales 100 metres offshore from Water Tower viewing platform. Heading north towards Dutton Way
Date sighted: 26th June 2016
Time sighted: 4:20pm

If it wasn't raining, I would go and get some videos of these visitors... but... with rain, its not possible to see them clearly anyway.

They get pretty close to the breakwater, this pic from about 4 years ago

Heading in a Northerly direction toward Dutton Way

Unless you live in Alice springs then its in 2 hours and only between 8am and 6pm.

At Food court in Belconnen Mall Canberra all kinds of Wales are sighted there any time of the day.

1 Southern Right Whale approximately 100 metres from the Corkscrew. Visible from the whale watching platform using the binoculars.
Also visible from the far end of the breakwater.
Date sighted: 31st July 2016
Time sighted: 3.30pm
