Gary,  Don't change on account of the clash of dates. I don't think any CQ or NQ members would be able to attend the Springbrook RTE - just too far away.

Hi John

Shiney has changed date of Springbrook RTE to following weekend (24th) so may get a few more starters.  But as it seems to be with Queensland weather lately, apparently now it's going to be wet.  Fortunately Big Red has already proved herself on a trip up Toowoomba range at 2015 Rally.

Just had a thought, it happens, I have ridden with the local guys Rocky cruisers a few times here in Rocky, I am sure if I put it up on facebook with them we would get a few more riders along, please let me know if that would be ok, most ride cruisers rather then tourers if that matters

Good call.  Just checked latest forecast and it's 95% chance for 25-60mm rain in Yeppoon and 10-30mm here in Bundy.  Probably not too bad to ride in but after 2-3 days lots of standing water and floodways full of.........water!

Very good call...had over 200mm since 9am on top of 145mm previous 24hrs....I gotta ride to BrisVegas tomorrow no matter what so I hope it backs off in rain and wind (currently 50km/h) cause the little KLR650 ain't no road warrior... :crazy

Yay I can go  :hatwave for those coming in from the South be aware of potholes & road damage from Marmoor to Rocky after the rains...hopefully fixed by then but dont bet on it  :|||| I have 1 bed & room for 2 bikes in the shed within walking distance if needed...Oh and a couch :thumbsup

was at  yeppoon last weekend from sunshine coast.stayed two nights at emu park.blowing its ass out and the road was rough most of the way.got wet at childers on thye way home.

Well sometimes life just sucks I finished work on Tuesday I m now unemployed which isn't too bad as I have been offered work in NZ which means selling the bike, anyone want a nice ST 1100? second bummer I have bitten by something and have spent the last few days sitting in the throne room and my tummy is red swollen and feels like it is on fire. So sadly and i am really bummed about this I doubt I will be able to attend unless things pick up quickly.

   Hey Everyone.... as Brookester said, we had a great RTE, perfect weather, tasty food and good company... thanks to Brooke for putting Kate and me up and hope to return the favour when the jam runs out in the next few weeks... thanks also for the look-around ride before the RTE. Yeppoon's definitely a lovely place and a mecca for tourists and grey-nomads.

   Thanks a lot to DBfive for making the effort,  it was great to see you again. Thought we'd close with a couple of comparison photos....

I had planned on driving up to Rocky on Sat andstayingwithmybrotherandhiswife, and sneeking out to this one today and driving back this afternoon, but circumstances with the wrong cot mattresses delivery on Friday and a bad belly also on Friday prevented it.

So sorry I missed it, I did get the bike out and rode up and down the street a few times but there was no way I was up to any sort of ride, I did think about trying to drive but thought better safe then sorry, glad you all had a great time, it is lovely out there. in the mean time I am back to hospital this morning to hopefully sort out what ever is is that has stuffed me up so much.
