Hi All, Picked up my dark blue '04 ST1300 from Whanganui and rode home to Whangaparaoa on Saturday. (Wh = F here in NZ). Great ride for the 1st two hrs, but then rain all the way home (4hrs) from Taumaranui. As a mate told me, - "As long as you are moving you won't get wet on the ST."
Bike has only done 20K, so my daily commute of 35km to Warkworth will help keep that ticking. Came with Metzelers, but I'm a Michelin PR4 fan, so will see how I go as these wear down. Last bike was an 07 Ducati Multistrada S, so the Honda has a few more creature comforts, but is actually a little quiet! I bought the bike for it's two up, and touring ability, so am looking forward to getting winter over with!
Great forum, Cheers. Eddie :bl11

You did well snagging a great bike with only 20 thou on the clock.
As you now know, they are good weather protectors. Just your boots and shins get wet.
You'll come to appreciate the quietness, or you might rebel and put Akrapovics on if it makes you feel more macho.
Tons of farkle ideas on this Forum.

This is the absolute forte of the ST1300 so you wont be disappointed. I can also assure you that you will get to enjoy the quiet ride. I thought mine sounded like a sewing machine when I first bought it but now, after almost 100,000 kms trouble free, two up touring on her I think she sounds more like a Swiss watch (sweet and smooooth).
Cheers
