Title: Muzrs from NZ
Post by: muzrs on July 07, 2016, 05:38:38 PM
Hi all. New to this St site. Kiwi living in Whakatane, Bay of Plenty which has sunny weather and good twisty roads for bike riding. I ride a 2008 ST1300 and have had it for 10 months now and find it a great bike to both commute and tour on, clocking up 15000km in that time.
Cheers Murray

Muzrs, Cheers!

I've driven from Auckland up to Paihia in a Motorhome after visiting my brother in Waiuku, and also from Auckland to Wellington via Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo and Hastings/Napier.

I've also driven From Rotorua to Gisbourne via Opotiki in a Toyota van. Then Gisbourne to Hastings/Napier.

There are some spectacular roads over your way and on all of them, I'd wished Is been on a bike!

Enjoy you're time on the forum. Lots of good info and great people.

Rob Gardner is the RTE  (Ride to Eat) coordinator on the shaky isles, so keep an eye out for and RTE over your way.

Thanks for the welcome. Sorry forgot about colour the bike is a nice Silver with Honda top box added all colour coded.
I done the ride around the East Cape to Gisborne and back through to Opotiki twice on the St now and also ride to Rotorua to Tauranga a few times which does not have many straight bits and the bike handles like a dream on the corners. Keeps the tyres from getting flat in the centre.

I'm so envious.

Going up the valley from Opoitiki to Gisbourne was a fantastic drive. I'd love to shoot through there. Picturesque and great roads.

Hi Muzrs, Welcome form Perth. I've always been jealous of the roads in NZ. I'm looking forward to seeing lots of RR.
