Just a quick introduction before I crash into bed. Most of my friends/workmates call me Bodø (it's only a nickname). I am a relatively newcomer to biking (eight years) after slowly progressing from 50cc scooters to a maxi scooter. These days I ride a Kawasaki Versys 1000. I reside in Adelaide and have ridden extensively in the eastern half of the state, done a few trips to Broken Hill, Mildura, Swan Hill, Melbourne and the Great Ocean Road before hammering the Yorke Peninsula and Eyre Peninsula last year. I also rode up to Leigh Creek last october before hitting a kangaroo in an aptly named place Worlds End en-route to Morgan in october. Fortunately I didn't come off but it did a bit of damage.
I don't have any trips planned at this stage except doing the Toy Run in december but no doubt when the weather clears up I'll get out and do a bit more riding than just the daily commute.

I sort have had a look through it but there wasn't much detail. For example, the Mclaren Vale Tin Shed one... does everyone find their own way to venue, meet for lunch and disperse afterwardsor does the group ride as a group to/from the said venue? I've got plenty of time to suss it all out I suppose.

I used to live in Brisbane but haven't been back to Queensland since. I don't have an ST. To be honest, I didn't know what one was and stumbled across this forum by another post. As it stands I am very happy with what I have so can't see myself going out to buy one in the near future.

It doesnt really matter what bike you ride, we even have people who ride
tractors sorry Harleys. Gotta have some one to make fun of.
Usually for an RTE, some one will say they are heading by a certain route, and expect to be at such n such road house if any one wants to meet up and ride together. OzSTOC isnt about all meeting up at a meet point and group riding to the venue.
WA is so big, and members so scattered, that even getting to the RTE can be a huge ride.

Fair enough. Alan said he was from Peterborough which I rode to last september/october and that would certainly be a hike from there to say Mclaren Vale. I'll certainly look into attending some of the events.

It's only 286km with the last 90km through the suburbs taking up at least one third of the travel time; though I haven't decided on this one yet.

For ages after seeing other people's introductions to the forum I lamented not have done one myself, then today a co-worker showed me this. It would appear I did do one. I hope my memory isn't going.
