Is there anything race tape won't do ?
Looks fine to me.

What's the colour on that ? I had a 92 that looked the same and for some reason I thought it was candy apple red.

wineberry red is the colour, but just to get back on the road any colour would be good

tape held it together well

Has the upper cowl stay been bent?, this will throw the headlight out of alignment and it is what supports the mirrors also

good luck with the recovery .... both you and the bike.

unfortunately ST1100 mirror parts are very very hard to comeby as a second hand item .... they are the most delicate parts of the bloody bike I think!!

I had to order my replacements fro OS.

Will see if I can find the supplier again.

There is an 1100 being wrecked here in Adelaide that is still complete.  Last time I was in the shop it still had both mirror covers.   Japanese bike wreckers on Churchill road.  I was told he has a few seats and other bits around the place as well.   I keep going in looking for a couple of things for the 1300

If you are interested there is a 2000 model ST1100 up for auction at Mannheims Auctions on Friday 16/09/2016 in Eagle Farm QLD.

I know the bike REALLY well as it was mine until a @#$%@& car decided that he wanted the space I was riding in, It was hit on the Left side so the mirror assembly on the right hand side is ok.
The insurance company decided to write it off as a repairable write off. (quoted $6500.00 to repair)

How did you go injury wise, with that much damage to the bike?  Sounds like a typical case of OF ANOTHER car driver driving whilst the brain was not engaged

sorry haven't been on,  surgery on bloody collarbone that wouldn't heal, ribs getting better.
really need 2nd opinion from Doctors when you have a tumble MAIB just send you to the local hospital where they ship you in and out quick as can.
after 8 weeks i wasn't happy with the progress and had my say,2nd opinion and CT and apparently it hadn't thought of healing and surgery planned for the next week...

You may not believe this but I didn't come off (don't ask how I stayed on 'cos I have absolutely no idea! even the cop that finally turned up (1.5 hrs after the accident!!!!!) found it really hard to believe I didn't hit the bitumen.
The car hit me just in front of my left leg and took out the whole mirror assembly (including spotlitght) the left upper fairing, front fairing, headlight and instrument panel frame, the mid fairing left , cracked the instrument panel surround and the screen. The bracket that holds the mirror assembly was snapped of at the weld and the was a paint crack on the neck of the main frame.

The bike has a Moorhouse seat, Givi top box with high level LED brake light, Heated handgrips UHF radio, Stereo system plugged into a Starcom 1 intercom system. Had a new front tyre fitted at the beginning of August (less than 800km done on it  :'(
