Sick and tired of sitting rugged up indoors listening to the rain.
Determined to get out of this flat next Friday for a run up to Hamilton, rain or not..... Where I go from there to make it a day ride is anyones guess.
More details later

Hey Kev,
guess what - don't think that you have a complete monopoly on the rain. ( UNFORTUNATELY ! :OldMan )
Doesn't help much when most of the city is about 1m above sea level and the drains don't seem to work 100%
We get a bit of rain sometimes as well ! But just a little bit. ;-*
This is from yesterday on the way home. o:)
Hard to believe that just 3 weeks ago it was stinking hot and most of the southern part of the country was in severe drought. :H

Flip, we don't get flooding here, but it is just the sheer annoyance of having 5 to 10, maybe 20 mm, almost every day for months on end.
On average, it rains here more frequently than once every 2 days. It has rained on 18 days of the past 28 for this month. 107 mm so far, just for August
Portland
Total For 2016
542.4mm
126 wet days, of 241 days since the beginning of this year

(grumble grumble) Seems every time I step outside to clean/polish the bike, it starts sprinkling again
... and the wind whipping thru the carport carries more dirt to deposit on the bike.
-
Don't worry Kev I'll send all our rain down to help you wash it about 30ml over 3 days this week. :rofl :rofl :dred11 :dred11 :dred11

Stop washing the bike Kev, you are making it rain here as well.

-

Already cloudy here, but no record-able rain today... just enough to wet the roads and make them slurpery... :grin

Well he didn't have to send over hour house on it's way to you. It was about 6:30 pm yesterday when we got it. It was still raining when I went to bed at 2:20am. Just went to check our rain gauge and we still have a misty rain happening so I'll check it later.

Sorry about that Alan you just can't trust quantas to get anything right.

We ended up with 10mm since last night

Ended up with 5mm before 9am, another 4mm today since then but only as light drizzly showers.
Still hoping it clears away before Friday morning
-
Total of 10mm yesterday in 4 separate cloudbursts, and another 6mm since midnight.
Now 7mm, very light misty stuff at the moment
-
Only 3 mm since 9 am today, looks like being dry(ish) on the road tomorrow ++
-
Have a good ride tomorrow Kev :hatwave
Looks like I have to wait till Tuesday to hopefully get a ride in :like

Weather looks pretty good here for today (chance of showers - 1 to 1.5mm) Will be ready to roll by 8am :thumb
Going to pack wet gear just in case, possibly run to Warrnambool from Hamilton before returning home... (chance to do some shopping at Bunnings.)
Only a short trip of about 300 Km, enough to blow the cobwebs out of the mufflers.
If weather is ok and I feel up to it, I might wander over to Ballarat and drop in to visit a mate for a coffee, then return home through Geelong, which will increase the ride to a bit over 800Km, and see me get home around 7.30 pm.
It's now pillow time, will log back in with a ride report after I get home :thumbsup
-
Sounds like a good day out Kev :grin
