Hi, everyone, I just want to introduce myself as new ST 1100 rider.[finally] . I've been contemplating an ST 1100 for a long time and after selling my Bandit 1250 abs recently grabbed the moment and found a nice example in Canberra.
I've been riding for 50 + years starting with a 1949 AJS 350 rigid back in 1963. I enjoy cross country trips , last year Philip Island a couple of times , Adelaide ,Wilpeena pound also a couple of times all on the bandit . Prior to that Philip Island a couple of times on the older Ninja ZX10. Have a buddy from the sunshine coast with a Valkyrie, who has recently joined me going south.
The MacGyver handle comes from neigbours in my street, mostly incompetant when it comes to fixing, repairing and improvising.I like most of you guys out there, have spent many years maintaining my bikes and cars and as a result in most peoples eyes appear very handy. Growing up with a Father who had a compehensive tool collection also helped. Like my Dad I have a Lathe Tig, Mig gas and all the tools that I need to make things. Hope to make some of the RTEs with my wife and partner of 30 years Hiromi.
Cheers, MacGyver

Welcome to the
farmhouse forum McIvor. There is a big gathering at Sandstone Point Hotel on the mainland side of the Bribie Island Bridge on Saturday to farewell a local ST legend who goes by the handle of Diesel. You're welcome to come along and meet the rabble STowners.
