Very Nice and  I'm green with envy.   We had a cold night and 48mm of rain at home last night, and the spiders in my rain gauge drowned.

Looks really interesting and a part of the world I've meaning to ride around for a while.  Unfortunately though I'm getting on a plane on 23rd October so will just have to read the ride report (perhaps reading it as a recce).  Enjoy!!

hey spanner, yup... we're coming up to your patch and riding around your backyard  :rd13...

so if you get home from work and find your chooks exhausted, you'll know what's been going on  :grin  ... back on the serious side.

because we're going to be in Townsville during the week (thur & fri on the way up & tue on the way home), and we’re staying at a big4 with bbq/kitchen facilities, instead of a ride, how about you bring your family over for a bbq... we're thinking maybe friday evening?

any other members who would like to join us, please let us know. cheers, John & Kate.

p.s.... were you able to find a swivel tow hitch?

Would join you but there's a little thing called the Australian MotoGP on the 23rd of October so I'll be in front of the telly for a day of watching bike racing.

Turns out I'm on call this weekend so I can't go riding even if I wanted to.  :-[  I hope nothing fails while the MotoGP is on.

no worries Craig... leisurely ride today... Rolling Thunder behaved faultlessly (we're STeed - trailer towing novices)... we have no set agenda for Sunday or Monday, except for riding around, looking around, the Tablelands, Cairns and Port Douglas... if you would like to catch up for a coffee on Monday, then give us a call.   Hey there... our FNQ holiday is all but over and similar to our Trailers and Towing post (http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=11415 (http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=11415)), Kate has written up an account of our activities on her own blog. Click through the links, for her version of our RR.

A quick shout-out to Ben (Me_3)... we rode past the hangar area of the Mareeba Airfield, in the hope of tracking him down at work... He heard the distinctive roar of an ST engine, and came out to see who had turned up! Great to see you, mate! We hope you'll make that trip south that we talked about.

Cheers, John & Kate     :rd13   :rd13 :rd13   :rd13   :rd13   :rd13

Thanks Abe... please excuse my tardy response... the design was a joint effort, but the work (and the cursing of the weather gods for windy days) was all Kate.
We are both really happy with how it has turned out and how well it went on our first camping trip... and yup, we just about ran our intercom flat, planning many more future trip ideas... Cheers, John & Kate.
