Sorry boys, just got back from work, studzilla was the first one who was interested, but postage will be expensive and only have a limited time at home now to get it packaged and go to post office. Ideally was looking for WA buyer.

Gday did the towbar end up selling? I'm interested. Live in Canungra 4275 Qld. Is the wiring harness with it ? Iv got a st1100 97 ABS? Thanks
-
Hi Kim,
Towbar is still for sale, but is for a non abs ST1100, and is bulky so costly postage, no wiring harness, it does have some wires to the connector but I wouldn't call it a harness.

Ok thanks. Was after the wiring as well. Abs.. non ABS... different ? bit tricky. Ill look into a wiring harness. Could you please get a rough estimate on cost postage. Where in WA are you located? I have reloes over there. Thanks

I still can't figure the difference in tow bars between the two models. As far as where the tow bar mounts to the exhaust mounts and a couple supports from under the seat there's nothing that I can see that would cause the need for two bars.
The only differences between the 1100 and 1100A are the ABS/TCS sensor on top of the final drive and the triple pot calliper (96 and newer) neither of which are anywhere near the tow bar.
The only wiring that came with my new bar 10 years ago was about 1 metre of 7 core wiring to suit the supplied 7 pin flat plug. Mine is wired into the rear light area and only I used five of the seven wires (S,T,L R and E)

I'm not sure of what the difference is, but from reading previous posts, others say there is? Kim, I live near Mandurah and am back at home Wednesday 4th at night.
The connector on the towbar is of the flat bar variety and has a short length of cable attached, I did attach to my old 1100 because I planned to buy a trailer but then upgraded to the 1300 and it was no longer needed.

Gday I rang Classic Trailers re ABS n non ABS towbars. Apparently there is a difference and they reckon they are not interchangeable. So it appears yr towbar will not work on my bike. If anybody has other advice please let me know as id still like to buy it. Kim non ABs is marked Th 16 n AVS is marked Th 23

Kim I ride a 98 ST1100 non ABS and I have lQQked at a ST1100 ABS with towbarto compare with mine and I cant see any difference, as Alan says above they mount in the same place and even the pics on Classics site they lQQk identical .. so not sure why Classicind think they wont match.. thats my opinion. :grin

Gday thanks for the feedback. Sounds like its worth a punt to me. Soooo ill just wait till i see what the damage is for postage.
