If I was wanting to upgrade I'd have yours Brian. However my :blu13 is still a baby at 55,000 and can't justify the trade in value and then the outlay to upgrade. If I know of someone wanting an immaculate :rd13, I'll be the first to recommend yours. Any photo's of the MuSTang ???

And from what I gather Honda were successful quitting their STocks with the exception of the odd white ones STill available.
I'm not familiar with your 04 , I can only assume it's more valuable to you then what you consider someone would offer you should you put it on the market.
I haven't seen anything new that equals or betters the attributes of the ST13 in its standard livery so I believe mine is great buying low milage example.

My pony experience has turned to custard.....after I'd identified a dozen areas (blemishes) on the paintwork to the dealership, they have had the vehicle three out of the four weeks since I initially took possession.
The dealership were unable to rectify the problem easily, saying the car would need to be resprayed. Not acceptable from my perspective so I've asked for my money back...sounds simple enough seeing the car has only done 473 kms with the majority of this kms being done by them....and this is where it's gone off the rails....
The matter has been passed over to a case worker for Ford Aust CRC, for them to assess the vehicle and then pass their findings onto a review board for deliberation.
All along I believe I've been more then reasonable while they have had full payment $56K and the car......but my patience is wearing thin.
From a sales / consumer perspective (or how I understand it) I am gob smacked.....at what point do I have to go down the legal track which is both added expense and time.

Unless the blemishes are serious, ie may lead to rusting, or are a real eysore, avoid a repaint at all costs. No matter how good the job is, a repaint will always devalue the car.
I will be in your neck of the woods on tuesday night. Happy to have a look and give an opinion if you wish. I spent 40 years as an automotive painter, so ive got a fair idea of what I am looking at.

I appreciate your offer Laurie , I've been in the automotive paint industry for 23+yrs.
I'm not agreeing to the offer of a respray and the dealership are saying another race red mustang is not available for another 8months....I don't wish to let them hold onto my money for that long, I want a full refund and may revisit the idea of a mustang at a latter date only this experience has overshadowed the idea for the immediate future

I rec'd a phone call from the dealership a.m. today .....where Ford Aust declined my request for a full refund under warranty...the dealership has put their hand up and will come to the party....as I think they should have in the beginning before all the angST.

Not yet, we're STill a lil shell shocked from our initial dealings with both dealership and Ford Aust. As far as the car itself it ticks all the boxes

My bike has a couple of months of rego left (Due April) so I think if it sells before I need to renew it well n good ......if not .......I will keep it. I'm sure a few have other ideas but unless Mr H brings out something earthshattering.....This ST1300 is still the best Sports Tourer available.

Mainly because of our undying loyalty.
The FJR1300SE offers electric suspension adjustment, cruise control, heated grips, slipper clutch and 6 speed box, on top of electrically adjustable windscreen and panniers, and handles just as well with an equally wonderful engine.

I bought a 2010 FJR, crash bars, 26,000 kms, for $9000. IMHO the 1300 FJR is a slightly better sports tourer than the 2008 ST1300 that it replaced.
I was very happy with the ST1300 and would still have it today if I hadn't written it off. But I have to say I think the FJR has better specs.
Brian, I think you ought to forget about selling your bike as it obviously means a lot to you. Keep it and enjoy.

Highlights we're all different ........before this ST13 I took an FJR 2010 for a run (Springwood Suzuki @$15K) I really wanted to like it only it fell short of my expectations and the rest is history....
I'm jus not riding my bike enough to warrant keeping it.........I lack the motivation to get out n about on it.....all this from a guy who used to be passionate about bikes and the freedom of riding......I've lost my mojo

Speaking with Ian on Sunday he's no stranger to this site having had a few discussions with a number of you fine folk in the past. I also made a conscious decision to incl. the website in my advert.
Ian's picking up the bike on Thursday and I do hope he makes use of this great group. The bike was priced well to sell with another four enquiries today even though I've marked the advert 'Deposit Taken' .....some folk dallied too long. Cheers Brian
