Event Information:

This location was highly recommended by members, so we are going to give this little gem a go :thumbsup

The Linville HOTEL is situated at the bottom of the Blackbutt Range, 7km in from Moore on the D'aguilar Highway.
The country surrounding is cattle, timber, fishing, deer and railway museum. There is also several kms of rail trail for walking, horse riding and bikes.
Across the road from the Hotel is a large free camping site with 2 powered sites available.
The Hotel kitchen is open Wednesday to Saturday Lunch and Dinner and Sunday for Lunch. :thumb

As all the people that expressed interest have now pulled out this RTE is being cancelled and replaced with another RTE...

Sorry- I was never a starter for that date- my year's major school reunion is in Newcastle that weekend. I'll leave you to imagine what year number reunion that might be... :eek

I have a temporary (3 month) roster change starting this week which means i'd only have to call in sick for 1 of the weekend shifts :whistle

At the request of management i'm now working mondays & getting paid %175 to do so.
They say sh*t floats to the top but in this instance i no complain about them :grin

We have run into some difficulty on the way so won't be attending.
Puncture in the rear tyre that I can't fix.
So now we are waiting for the tow truck.

Bad luck about the puncture Shiney and Carrol. The eight of us who got to Linville had a very relaxing meal and a good chat. Everyone agreed that the old Linville Pub was a great RTE venue. Hope you managed to get safely back home. Thanks for organising the fay; we missed you. 👍 Cheers, Dave

Just got home.
I'll take the wheel off tomorrow and get a new tyre put on it on Monday.

Home after stumbling across Dave & Carrol having tyre drama's.
It was an eventful few hours directing traffic only to come to the conclusion that most of the passing road users are stupid in these situations.
Practically all passing bike traffic waved or signalled to see if everything was OK.
The patrol car that came along was helpful with his warning lights.
Cattle trucks have an acquired perfume. I have donated money to Partzilla and fleaBAY tonight for 3 sets of brake pads,a pie warmer lid,rubber dust covers for front shockies and 6 new mirror cover spring clips. STill cheaper than a new tyre >:()

It was a long day that started out well but didn't quite go the way I'd planned :fp
