Event Information:

The Pitstop Cafe on Mt Mee is owned by former motorcycle speedway racer John Alexander and wife Kim, and is managed by motorcycle enthusiast Michelle Sadlier.
The cafe is situated on one of the Brisbane hinterland’s most famous motorcycle roads, the Mount Mee Road which snakes up and over the range.

It is poised on the edge of a cliff looking south across Mt Pleasant Valley to Brisbane and on a clear day you can see all the way to the sand dunes of Moreton and North Stradbroke islands.
Inside there are motorcycle races on the TV and motorcycle and car racing paraphernalia everywhere collected over the years by John.

Calendar is free at this stage. Helping to shift one of the kids and his family on Saturday so I reckon I'll be looking for a relaxed lunch on Sunday.

I had a nice drive up the mountain, using the steering wheel mounted great shift changers. Hardly touched the brakes.

Saw a heap of Caterhams coming down the mountain and in amongst a heap of Harelys, a white ST1300 with led clearance/parking lights.

My found friend Mick Young who organise Black Dog Ride for Queensland just happened to be visiting the Cafe for a coffee, which gave me a chance to introduce him to the members.

A great group of new faces to blend in with the old, and before long everyone was chatting about all sorts.

I went home the longish way, via
Campbell's Pocket Rd
West Lindsay Rd
Bellmere Rd
King St Caboolture
Bruce Hwy.

Again the paddles on the steering wheel added extra fun.

Odd thing as I came out of a 1st great corner into a 2nd great corner, into a dipper, a grey Audi was parked on the left and a grey-haired lady was filming me on an iPad????? I was only doing 75 km/h when I went past in 3rd.

Great ride
Started out at 8.00 met my mate Dave at Macas
Headed down range turning off to go through Lowood to Fernvale
Before heading to Mt Glorious then heading towards Samford
We stopped on the side of the road for a short rest
While stopped Ian mikan13 came along and we followed him
up through Dayboro to the Pit Stop Cafe
Arriving about 10.40 not a lot of parks but found one
Caught up with Shiney, Draco (good to see him back on the road)
Went in for a look around, I have never been there before Beautiful view
Found out where we were sitting then went and ordered lunch
It was good to catch up with everyone
Then it was time to leave
Organised the group photo
Then Dave and I headed off to Woodford where we turned off and headed over
to Kilcoy then onto Esk where we turned off to Hampton
We decided not to stop and headed for home
Stopping outside Toowoomba we said our goodbyes
390 km all up
Good day to catch up with friends

Missed going to Tipsy's but next year
