Title: Quick hospial trip re prostate.
Post by: ppopeye on November 18, 2016, 03:26:13 PM
i have come home today from a stint in hospital to repair where I had a T.U.R.P done two or so years ago. Bad case of bleeding from I guess overexerting myself working at my sons house on Wednesday. He knocked down his old one and is rebuilding.

Urologist says no bladder cancer or problem that side but is doing a biopsy on the prostate in a couple of weeks which was planned for next Monday. My prostate is large and has been for a long time so we are hoping thats all it is.

Garry, I wish you a speedy recovery, and negative result from your prostate biopsy.

Those biopsies are not a pleasant experience.  You are sent to sleep with your bare arse sticking out from under a sheet, and you wake up a short time later feeling sore and violated.   :eek

All the best for a fast recovery mate, I hope the biopsy isn't as bad an experience as it sounds :eek and you come away with a good result :thumbsup

Cheers

Thinking of you ppopeye. First time you pass water after the biopsy, don't pass out. It is not a pretty sight. Keep positive mate.

Fingers crossed all is well Garry.
If your prostate was clear when you had your T.U.R.P. chances are it still will be, as prostate cancer is one of the slowest (if not the slowest) growing cancers.
I had my prostate removed almost 2 years ago (it was enlarged and also had a small cancer attached), and was told by the specialist that I could have left it there for another 10-15 years before it'd be a problem, but not wishing to have something so foreign inside me, I chose to have it removed.

Had a prostate biopsy today. Results maybe in a couple of days. In the meantime take it easy. Haha. New kitchen coming on the 12th. Bare walls, and floor in the house. Chris is not happy but she will be when it is done. That is when the floor, kitchen, electrical, plumbing, walls and new beams, plastering and painting are done.
They say timing is everything and this time was very interesting.

I have excellent news. My angel is flying faster than me and I have a biopsy result which is negative to cancer. Now I can really relax. God is good.
