WA cyclone: BOM gives Pilbara residents all clear for tropical low
Saturday January 28, 2017 - 21:44 EDT

People in parts of Western Australia's Pilbara region are given the all clear by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) regarding a tropical low that earlier prompted a blue alert.

In an update issued this evening, BOM advised the tropical is moving further away from the coast.

"The tropical low may reach tropical cyclone intensity overnight but should not affect the mainland," BOM said.
