Greetings everyone,
The time has finally come for me to trade down to something smaller (read lighter) and I now have a shiney red Yamaha MT09 Tracer sharing the garage with my Candy Red ST1300A.
unfortunately a two bike lifestyle is not sustainable in our household so my trusty ST1300A has to go. I have owned this bike for the past seven years and it has literally taken Ros and I all over this great country of ours without missing a beat in the 90,000+ Kms we have ridden her.
If anyone is interested, or knows of someone who might be interested in a 1st class ST at a reasonable price here is the link to my Bike Sales Advert http://www.bikesales.com.au/private/sse-ad-4675823/2008-honda-st1300-abs/ (http://www.bikesales.com.au/private/sse-ad-4675823/2008-honda-st1300-abs/)
OzStoc Members feel free to PM me and I would be willing to talk price a little if it meant my wonderful ST would go to a good home.

After all the trips you have done, it must feel like you are selling one of the kids. :eek
Good luck with the sale, and the new bike.
-
Thanks Pete,
You are not wrong.
Hopefully, we will still see you at Wooli.
Cheers

I'll be keen to hear your impressions of the Yammie, which was never on my radar as an alternative, as a lighter option to the ST.
-
Sad to see another ST go :'(, good luck with the sale.

So far so good Pete,
100kg lighter than the ST is a good start. Comes c/w panniers, screen and upright seating position. Their "comfort" seat is also quite good. Need to crank the 850cc donk a bit more of course and do more gear work but it certainly gets along briskly enough two-up. Haven't had it on a trip yet so that will be the acid test. The general word is that the MT-9 engine is "bullet proof". Perhaps I could do a ST/MT-09TRA critique down the track.
Cheers

Say it ain't so :(

Sad to see the ST is having to go but that's the way it is sometimes.
Anyway, congratulations on the new bike mate, I hope you find it to be an enjoyable ride :runyay

Sad to see it go Dick but it's inevitable due to their weight playing havoc with younger and older riders alike.
It's still a very nice bike,priced well.
I look forward to seeing the new yammy at Wooli :beer

It's called sod's law.
A bit like when you have the money but not the time, but then when you have the time not the money.
