Hi there. Will any of you be up for the motorbike show in York. I will have my ST parked in the main street - maybe we could get a group parked up together?? Would anyone be in that.
I will also have my 59 BSA cafe racer in the main hall, so I wont be too hard to find. Just look for the leather Jacket with Pirate wrote in studs on the back (its a fifties thing).
-
Definitely will be there but not for show. Just as a spectator. Probably will wash it first but not showroom quality. It's my daily ride so well loved and well worn. See you there.

I will probably be there on Sunday with the Joondalup Ulysses

My CB750 has been on loan to the shire in the foyer of the Town Hall for the past few weeks as advertising, today the West Australian had it moved out the front for photo session, I don't know when it will be published.

That's exciting Yorkie.

Yorkie's CB750 was in The West today in all its glory!

I was a bit disappointed, the article made it appear the shire president owned it
-
Weather looking OK so about to get organised and hopefully be on my way to York by about 10.
Correction hopefuly leaving a to closer to 9

Had a poor night, little to no sleep so wont be going to York.

Lovely weather in York yesterday. Have to br close to a thousand bikes pass through. I came through from Perth around 11 and there were bikes returning even then. A constant stream, mostly passing as I try to not exceed the limit. Bloody good show what. Sadly I didn't see any STeeds. Have to look harder next year.

There certainly was a great attendance. My ST was parked near the Gull service station, I handed out one card to a grey 1300 and saw about 5 others but was generally surprised on the lack of STs and Goldwings. Yorkie's (ex Johnnos) GL1000 was in the show and shine and a real credit to him. I caught up with Yorkie, Mitch, Gavo and Pezzz but unfortunately missed Greg and Roger The Pirate but saw Roger's BSA, another nice machine. Greg it would be nice to have the actual number of bikes that attended, I left about one and even then passed a lot of bikes on their way to York. Where ever you looked off the main drag there where bikes parked on footpaths and every spare piece of flat land.
-
The average number of bikes is around 5k, give or take a few hundred, I carded 8 bikes then found an 11 & 13 but had no cards with me so they missed out, around 500 get their pics taken on the way also.

The show was great, my BSA took out best classic so I was happy. I just parked my ST outside the house as there were bikes parked up as far as my drive so it seemed pointless to drive around trying to find a parking spot to park in. It was a great day and so many people attending. Should be bigger and better next year. Maybe we could look at having a meal as a group the night before?? or an organised ride from Perth to York??

What I was trying to say before messing up:-
Congratulations on your award Roger.
The ride to and from Perth to the Lakes was great but riding by myself the York road was chaos in both directions for different reasons.
I would not have liked to have been riding in a group.

Well deserved Pirate. I failed to mention your BSA. Knowing it was yours I gave it the 3rd degree and it did not fail to impress. Congratulations. It is obvious there are many hours rather days/months of TLC to bring it to that standard. Sad we missed each other, perhaps at the next ride.
Yes team we should organise a meeting spot next time.
