We had a good turnout for the Overland Corner Hotel RTE on Saturday 29th April, and even poached Ppopeye from Victoria on the weekend of the Vic Port Fairy RTE. Some of the Adelaide crew met on the northern outskirts of Adelaide and rode together, with a compulsory stop at the Truro Bakery for morning tea.
Overland Corner is a little historic pub in the backblocks of the SA riverland. Originally set up as a watering hole for drovers and overlanders operating between New South Wales and the Adelaide Colony, it also served as a temporary camping ground for steamers passing through on the River Murray, which flows a mere 600ft from the hotel. The historic building was erected in 1859, and since that time has served as a staging point, a general store, a police station and even the local Post Office. See http://www.overlandcornerhotel.com.au/ (http://www.overlandcornerhotel.com.au/) for more info.
The weather was fine, if not a little cool, the conversation flowed freely before, during and after lunch, and a lovely day was had by all. Riders drifted off to find their own ways home, and Chris and I arrived back home at around 7.00pm after a lovely 520km day. Thanks to everyone for making it such a social and successful day.

It was a great day for a ride. Great company and good venue. Thanks everyone for making it a great day.

Sounded like a good day for you.
I was home waiting for Heather to return from her trip away.
Her sister from Darwin drove down and picked up another sister from Marla before picking up Heather about 10 days ago for their aunties funeral.

It was a good day. I rode in via Angaston, Keyneton, Sedan, Wunkar and Loxton, where I stopped for morning tea. Although short the ride from Sedan to Keyneton is nice. It's the first time I've done it in that direction.

Great ride for the day, great bikes, great people & the food was worth the ride. And the Sedan to Keyneton section has enough stone walls to satisfy Stinky Pete's current tag game. Just need a safe spot to pullover & get a photo with the bike in i :thumbs :thumbst.

I agree with these sentiments. I had a great ride of 1550 km over 3 days. Including leaving Bendigo after visiting family, stopping 20 km down the road to ring home and discovering a missing phone. Return to Bendigo to collect phone and riding home via the slab (Calder Hwy) But it was not quicker as the shortest way home included a trip just north of the city which was gridlocked for about 5 km.Oh well. It was warmer in the city 18C than over the hills 12C.
Great to meet some new folks and catch up with the old crew too.
