There has been a good discussion on heated gloves there, so it might be worth having a read and posting in that topic (just to keep all heated glove info in the one spot) :thumbsup

Cheers Shiney. I think I may have to look into this.

If you buy them, don't forget to keep the lithium batteries charged. Once every 6 months, minimum. They die stone dead if you don't keep a charge in them. DAMHIK.

One of our friends on AusTouring has researched this subject quite thoroughly, his report his here:

Three things put me off, 1. I don't really need 'em, 2. The cost, and 3. If I bought for Helen, she would wanna come on more winter rides.

Never used them myself, but my mate bought a pair when he was in Canberra for a few years. He has a wired set, they seem big and cumbersome to me, and I haven't seen him wear them since he's been back in Vic... a battery powered set would be great!

The battery powered ones are also cumbersome, but not much moreso than most winter ones. The battery goes in the cuff on top of your wrist and the step-switch is on the back of the hand. The battery is the flat square type, and not noticeable when being worn.
