Does any one have a link to a site where the speed limits of a road are visible?
Just trying to plan a silly ride.
Cheers

I know what this is leading up too Spanner ;-*
No recod attempts of course just loops.
If your interested in a new second hand bike send me a PM.

If it's laps you're planning, you can benefit from the experience of others regarding check-points, servos etc

From my understanding since the last lot have done the crazy ride their have been some substantial changes in road options.
Also the servo that was used previously is no longer there so I have marked out a couple of potentials and a potential route but just need to make sure of the speeds because google maps street view shows conflicting speed limits and slightly conflicting road availability. Technology is awesome except when it is wrong. :p

I believe the new IBA approved route requires 20 laps for an SS1600.
I think I'll drive the route next week and note the speed changes.

There is a lot more to this ride than normal IBA rides...such as requiring witnesses at certain points to confirm laps....if you want to know more go to the IBA forum where this ride is being organised..... https://forum.ironbutt.org/index.php?threads/act-insanity-ride-planned-june.1345/

Look here.
I suspect Spanner has looked here already.

Bugger ..... not sure how I missed that post on the IBA.
I can't do it in June but will be planning to do it over the Christmas / New Years time frame as that works better with :
A) the weather
B) my work commitments.
Thanks all for your input but I will now converse with Olaf.
Cheers.
